Some of the challenges which people report facing in adhering to a healthy eating plan include lack of knowledge about what foods to eat and in what quantities, not having time to plan and cook healthy meals, and not having a repertoire of healthy recipes which taste good and appeal to those they eat with. Add in to that equation food allergies – either their own, or those of the people they eat with – and it’s no wonder most people end up sabotaging their work-outs with poor nutritional choices.
As a personal trainer, I’m often asked for dietary advice, and for a long time have been looking for a solution to clients’ problems which will enable them to make independent, empowered choices about their own eating plans.
That’s why I’m genuinely excited about the new online nutrition component of my business. It’s a program that allows you to enter personal details, goals, and dietary preferences, and have calorie-controlled meal plans generated. There is a large range of recipes, so if the program suggests a recipe which you don’t like, it’s easy to find a delicious alternative. This program saves so much time by automatically compiling shopping lists, allowing you to include different quantities if you are also cooking for other people. It’s easy to use and because it’s online can be accessed from any computer. If you need to print a copy of your shopping list before you leave work at the end of the day, all you need to do is log in to the site with your user name and password and all your information, including progress, is at your finger-tips.
The program is super-easy to use, and costs less than dinner for two for a month of healthy recipes.
Simply log in via the Leow Factor Personal Fitness Facebook page by clicking “Leow Factor Nutrition” and entering your user-name and password.
You’ll then be able to enter personal information, such as measurements, current weight, goal weight, food allergies, and dietary preferences.
The system then generates a menu, which you can further customise by choosing from other recipes which are available. Note that the program also breaks down the calorific value of each day’s meals.
Finally, everything is compiled into a shopping list which takes into account your shopping cycle (e.g. weekly, fortnightly) and the number of people you’re cooking for.
If you’d like to know more about the program, I’m available to answer your questions by phone, e-mail or via my Facebook page. Bon apetit!
